Real Inflation
In plain language
A nominal return of +5% with 3% inflation is worth only +2% in real terms. Withdrawal analyses (SWR/PWR) use real returns to assess effective purchasing power over time.
Technical definition
Inflation rate applied to convert nominal returns into real returns, deflating the equity curve and withdrawal metrics in the report.
